"Change your thoughts and change your world." --Norman Vincent Peale
If you have read Mr. Peale's story about his first publishing his thoughts on positive thinking and the power of right thought to create a different world, you know that he was ridiculed for them. He was made fun of, put down, and even told that he was not a Christian for saying that one could control their world with their thoughts. His father was instrumental in him staying the course to keep his message out there. He remained positive in the face of what others were attempting to create around him. He knew going in that there would be opposition and therefore, there was. He also knew that his inner world, the one that was positive and progressive, would win.
It seems that people thrive on creating a bad world around them. Politicians, the media, and everyday individuals seem to be able to believe a bad world. It supports their thoughts and is therefore the world that they create. That isn't the world that I want! The world that I want is perfectly laid out in my mind. Until today, I had simply not chosen to embrace it fully. Today is different! Today, I will embrace the world that I have invented in my inner world and I will overlay the fabric of its creation into the entire world around me.
I have lived under the illusion that the outer world is separate from the inner world. The truth is that the outer world is a reflection of what I have actually embraced as my inner world. People will take the example of their models from their youth and claim those same mistakes as the foundation for their world today. They claim that they have no choice. This is a lie and one that the ego has propagated on us. The truth is that we create our inner world and our outer world with the thoughts that we claim. Your ego may wish to fight you on the creation of your right world, but you simply need to give up the ego as a decision-maker. You must claim the Spirit as your guide and unfold the blanket of new reality that you create over the top of the ego's destructive creation.
Today, I will choose to live as a free man. I will create my reality from my inner world and realize that it is more real than what my ego has expressed in the outer world. My inner world is the blueprint for my dreams and my mind is the architect and construction crew that will build this world into reality. I claim the truth of creation. Do you?
