There are only two ways of seeing. Either I see through the eyes of my ego or I see through the eyes of the Spirit. All that the Spirit sees is holy and good and pure. All that the ego sees is separated from Spirit and is therefore unholy.
As we build on the truth of our connected design with the Holy Spirit, a few things (5) must be obvious.
I have always wanted to understand the grand design, the way in which we were intended to live. I have known at a deep level that I was created to be a creator, and I believe the same of all people. Knowing that my capacity to create is dependent upon my capacity to see the potential that the Spirit sees, I intentionally seek out the potential that others have in their lives. It is in looking for the good that I find it. It is in seeking out perfection that perfection is revealed.
I once heard a sculptor describe the way in which he revealed the statue that was inside of the stone. He said that the perfect statue, one that would inspire awe from others, one that would help others to see beauty in this world, was already in the stone. His job was not to create the statue, but rather to reveal what beauty lay inside.
I see my role in this world in much the same way. I see holiness because I am holy. I see potential because that is what I want to see and that is what I am seeking. I choose to remove the film of the ego and allow the beauty that was already there to simply be. When my thoughts stay rooted in that which is holy, then holiness is what I see. We are what we think about. We are the sum total of our thoughts. Today, I choose to think on that which is holy and holiness envelops all that I see because of this.
What will you think on today?
