I have a poster with the quote from The Buddha on it that says, "All that we are arises with out thoughts. With our thoughts, we make our world." The struggle for me has always been in accepting the level of power that I was granted to create. I have been given the power to create my own world. Despite that, I, like many others, have created a world of pain at times. I have not always created the beauty that I was capable of. I think it is hard for us to see that we are more than just mere humans who are tossed around by the circumstances of the world. I think that we struggle with embracing the reality of our createdness.
In Napoleon Hill's book, Outwitting The Devil, he talks about the number of "drifters" that exist in this world. He says that 98% of people have not and likely will not accept that they can create. These drifters will go through life being pulled by others. This means that the 2% who are the creators are pulling the world in their direction. Regardless of the percentage, I believe that we are not alone in our thinking. What we think has a vibrational energy that goes out to the world around us. Negative energy places us, and those around us, in hell, which is suffering and separation. Positive energy places us, and those around us, in heaven, which is connection to the source and abundance.
As we journey through this course in miracles, I believe that our egos, and the egos of those who prefer suffering, will attempt to place their will upon us. They will try to fill our lives with negative energy and throw obstacles in our way that would keep us from shattering their world and seeing truth. Because thoughts are things and because thoughts are shared, I can and will choose to create love instead of fear. I understand that the opposite of love is fear and I will not act out of fear! I will act in the love that God is and in the love that I am. I open up my loving thoughts to the world around me and to all those that I encounter. Perfect love sends out a vibration that changes everything!
As my thoughts arise as love towards all mankind, my world changes and grows. Today, I will create my world. Will you?
