Luke 17:21 (NIV) says, "nor will the people say, 'Here it is' or 'There it is' for the Kingdom of God is already in your midst."
The great deceiver would have us believe that we aren't good enough at our core. It would have us live with guilt and shame and torment so that we would never realize the beauty and holiness that is at the true core of who we are. It would have us believe that our power is limited because of the laws that were created by the ego to keep us in check. It would have us believe that there is no salvation for us and that we are not and never were blessed by the Creator.
But none of that is truth. The illusion is made up of nothingness. It is made up of the ego's feeble attempt to keep us down. We are the mighty because we are created in the image of the Creator. Our holiness envelops everything that we see the moment that we give up the illusion. It is from that place of connectedness with the Spirit that we are forgiven and that we forgive ourselves. The moment that we forgive ourselves, we have forgiven the world, and we become a blessing to all that we encounter. There is nothing, and I do mean nothing, that our connectedness cannot accomplish. Once we live in connectedness, we become unstoppable.
For me, I remember learning to do things that seemed impossible as a kid. When I was 9, I first learned to break a board with my hand in martial arts. My instructor had taught me the technique to throw a heel-palm, but it been just a theory. When he placed a board in front of me, resting on 2 cinder blocks, it was very different. He explained to me that the board was the illusion and that on the other side of the illusion was victory. He explained that I should never focus on the illusion. Instead, I must focus on the other side and the illusion would simply break away. So, the first time, I focused on the illusion and it stopped me dead in my tracks. It hurt! The second time, however, I focused a good 6 inches past the illusion and the board snapped as if it had never been there in the first place. Our focal point will determine our success. The illusion is that we are stoppable, that we are not good enough to change the world. The truth, however, is that all we have to do is see what is already there and stop focusing on what is not there. When we do that, the illusions will crumble and our holiness will save us. At that moment, the blessings begin.
It is in our connection to the source that we are saved and that we are blessed. Stay connected to truth and the illusions will not be there. You and I are already there. We are already in truth, so let's let go of guilt and let go of the illusions and walk in victory!
