Day 9: Well, I declare!

One of the challenges that I have faced in building up my happiness and my success in life is that of worrying about looking goofy.  I know that I should do my declarations in the morning.  I should put my hand on my heart and declare that I am an awesome creation, full of things to offer this world.  I should declare that the world is out to make me successful and that people are seeking me out to do business with me.  I have, at times, struggled with how goofy I look doing this.

Here is the simple perspective shift that has helped me.  I know for a fact that I would rather be a happy and successful person who comes across as goofy than a cool person who is broke and unhappy.  Trust me on this one, I have tried the cool, broke, unhappy approach and it isn’t near as fun as the brochure makes it out to be.  When we start our day and end our day with a declaration of our own awesomeness, we begin to solidify that perspective in our own mind. 

I, Jody Holland, am an awesome person.  I have great ideas that people are desperately seeking.  I help people find the best version of themselves and I help businesses make more money through their people.  I was put on this earth for a reason and I am happily living into that reason every single day!  I know that all of this is true because I, AM, AWESOME!

Take a few minutes and write out a declaration that you can read aloud with your hand on your heart or in a full salute or while dancing a jig.  Do something that allows your goofy, awesome, successful, amazing self to shine through.  After all, I would rather be goofy and happy than cool and miserable.  How about you?
