One of the struggles that has gone through my mind is to wonder which reality is, well, reality. Is this body that I am in my reality? Is it the physical world around me that is real? Or, is it the spiritual side that is real? It seems to be almost impossible to believe that both are real. Either the circumstances that are around me are the reality that exists or the thoughts that are within me are that which is real.
We tend to experience ourselves as divided, split between what we experience and what we want to believe. People have attempted to fill the void with things. They have tried shopping to find peace, exercising to find peace, and even seeking love from others to find peace. The simple truth is that none of those things will ever be able to reconcile the truth for us. The truth can never be reconciled with untruth. You experience this world in the way that you choose to experience it. The world that exists around you can be fantastic, regardless of circumstances. This reality is simply your interpretation of and labeling of meaning related to what you experience.
If you want to be happy, you claim the truth that you are happy and you begin to label things differently. You begin to choose what you believe that relates to you experiencing joy in your life. You begin to see the good in others because you see the good in yourself. You amplify what you seek. This is true of good things as well as bad things. You create chaos out of order when you choose the dichotomy of truth and untruth for your definition, and when you feel chaotic on the inside. You create peace out of chaos when you feel at peace and reconcile that your body is simply a reflection of what you believe about you. Your life is simply a reflection of what you think. Your thoughts create your world.
Your energy field influences everything around you. When you are positive, others feel that. When you are negative, others feel that. When you are untrusting, others feel that. When you are trusting, others feel that. If you are like most people, you have met people that you immediately didn't like. It wasn't what they said or even how they dressed. There was just something that did not mesh with your definition of reality or threatened your version of reality. The truth that we are all connected is the truth that we must live with.
We are all connected at a spiritual level. To go a step further, scientists have even proven that the stuff of this world isn't stuff at all. It is thinking... non-stuff. At the most fundamental level, we are all connected through an invisible energy field. We are one. We are the same. Because of that, I want only good for others because I want only good for myself. I want good for you. My desire is that your life is filled with joy and happiness. So, I challenge you with this. Ask yourself, "What would I have to believe in this situation in order to be happy?" Then, simply choose that belief!
