The thought for today is that I am connected to everyone and everything that exists. I have always like science. I have not always been great at it, but it always fascinated me. I particularly enjoyed physical science. Once I hit college, my interests shifted to people and human interaction, but I never lost interest in how science helped us to understand human interaction. I knew from the time that I was very young that there were people that just "sucked the life out of you." There was always a grumpy old man or an angry woman at church that seemed to be a vacuum for existence. There was also always that happy person that seemed to inspire people to see the best in the world around them. They were the ones that didn't have to say or do anything in particular, they just radiated joy. Those were the ones that I wanted to be like.
I bring up the two opposing types of people because I believe that it is their energy field that impacts us. Quantum mechanics, which studies the smallest of particles, has indicated that at the very fundamental level, smaller than atoms, smaller than protons and neutrons and electrons, smaller than bozons and quarks and leptons, there is trace energy. This energy which is vibrating at all times creates our interpretation of matter. Quantum physicists have been able to prove that the physical world is just vibrating energy that is vibrating less than the speed of light. This means that a "solid table" isn't actually solid. Our entire communication system of cellular technology, wireless internet and a whole lot more is based on this truth. It is in the vibrations that we give off that people perceive us.
The second side of what this means is that we are all made up of the exact same "non-stuff" or energy. We are made up of energy that thinks. The idea of sending a fax is still way cool to me, even though very few people still fax. Emails are mind-boggling. The idea that I can write this and deliver it over the internet, in print, and more, all while sitting at my desk, is awesome. Whey would we not think that we are all connected?! Everything that I do, every thought that I think, every attitude that I hold, will send out a vibration of energy into the universe. Like a magnet, I begin to attract thoughts and attitudes that are like mine. People that walk around believing that nobody can be trusted will attract acts to them that are not trustworthy. People that walk around seeing good in everyone that they encounter will attract good to themselves.
It is in your thoughts that the vibrations originate. Researchers have been able to see that as water freezes and you think angry thoughts around it, the ice crystals become very jagged and angry looking. When you think happy and supportive thoughts, the ice crystals are uniform and beautiful. Plants respond to our thoughts and to our words as well. The more you love a plant, the healthier it becomes. You can water it the same as other plants, but if you spend time telling the plant how incredible it is, it will be more incredible. If it works on water and on plants, how much more will that work on people? We are all connected and like attracts like. I challenge you to choose what you want to attract in your life and then live like a reflection of what you want.
